Your invitations to mission, community and formation this week:
1… Link o’ the week… Art Show this weekend! Julie Moncrief will be selling aprons (among other things) made from fabric she purchased in Ghana this past summer. Proceeds from everything she sells will go to Destiny Vocational School in Nkwanta, Ghana. Cool stuff!
2… Passion Conference… January 1-4, 2011. That’s only two months away, if you can believe. Where will Francis Chan, Beth Moore, David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, among several thousand college students from across the nation, be on those days? They’ll be in Atlanta for Passion Conference. You can be to. We can go roadtrippin’. Check out all the details on their website. Your cost is $300 plus your meals. Online registration is almost here.
3… Save the date!… November 13 & 14. If you come home only one weekend in November, it should probably be Thanksgiving. But if you come home twice, make the weekend of the 13th and 14th. On November 13, we’ll be watching the OSU/Texas football game at Cobb’s place. The next day, we’ll have party at Peter’s house with games, Catan, Beatles Rock Band. We’ll have some chili and grab some snacks for the road back home.
4… Campus visit… I’ll be hanging around the campus of Oral Roberts University on Wednesday afternoon, and then on Thursday evening I’ll be in Stillwater at OSU. Cowboys, we’ll meetup at Hideaway at 6 pm. Be there!
5… Table Talk… Sunday, 10:55 am, 4th floor gym of the sanctuary building at the church. There’s good food, good people, and an exploration of faith and the college life. This week we continue our series “Everything is Spiritual.”
Questions? Let me know. Heaps of blessings on you all. Know you are prayed for this week.
Final thought…
“Therefore search and see if there is not some place where you may invest your humanity.”
