Your invitations to mission, community and formation this week:
1… Link o’ the week… Advent Conspiracy. Advent is coming. You know what that means? It means Jesus is coming. And that’s reason to celebrate. Advent Conspiracy is all about challenging the way we think about the Christmas holiday, so check it out.
2… Passion Conference… January 1-4, 2011. That’s only two months away, if you can believe. Where will Francis Chan, Beth Moore, David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, among several thousand college students from across the nation, be on those days? They’ll be in Atlanta for Passion Conference. You can be to. We can go roadtrippin’. Check out all the details on their website. Your cost is $300 plus your meals. Online registration is now available! A $100 deposit is due by December 1 to save your spot.
3… Hope for Creation… This Wednesday we finish the Blessed Earth video series from Dr. Matthew Sleeth. Starts at 6:30 in room YFC 212. Look for the Fiftyeight banner at the end of the hallway.
4… Owen Park… Thursday, 6:30 pm, meet at the church and carpool over to the park. It’s a cookout with some homeless folks and some who have homes. It’s an awesome time to make new friends and hear some stories and meet Jesus.
5… Table Talk… Sunday, 10:55 am, 4th floor gym of the sanctuary building at the church. There’s good food, good people, and an exploration of faith and the college life. This week we finish our series “Everything is Spiritual.”
Questions? Let me know. Heaps of blessings on you all. Know you are prayed for this week.
Final thought…
“If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.”
