You see it on bumper stickers. You see it sloganized, slapped on a poster, paired with a majestic nature scene. But most of the Bible wasn’t written to be consumed like that.
However, much of Proverbs, especially the material beginning in chapter 10, does work like that.
This is very much the stuff of earth, the normal 9-to-5, Monday thru Friday existence. This is about integrity and work ethic, money and sex. You don’t even have to be a Christian to go through Proverbs and notice that, yeah, more or less, this is the way the world works.
Wisdom is something that, once it creeps into your life, it soaks into every single space. It knows no compartments.
